WordPress Has Released 2.0.6 Security Release Along With The 2.1 Beta
Jan 05, 2007
Yesterday I had written about a WordPress vulnerability and many bloggers had extensively covered this issue on their respective blogs. WordPress has now come out with a security release and you can also download the WordPress 2.1 beta version in case you want to check it out.
About the security release; it takes care of the following:
- The aforementioned security fixes.
- HTML quicktags now work in Safari browsers.
- Comments are filtered to prevent them from messing up your blog layout.
- Compatibility with PHP/FastCGI setups.
The last point, “Compatibility with PHP/FastCGI setups” gave me lots of trouble until a few weeks ago and this is how I had solved it and ever since then I have had no problem with the trackbacks (of course as long as I have no problem with Akismet)
