Use Online Applications With Cautious
Dec 14, 2006
There’s bee an onslaught of freely available online applications — from emails to word processors to social bookmarking tools to collaboration software to scheduling software to online disk spaces to online video, audio and image sharing — you name it and they have it. But what’s the guarantee they are always going to be available? asks Chris Gilmer of Web Worker Daily. I got his link from a post at Gigaom. I agree with Chris; you can use online applications and online disk space for casual work but for serious work rely on your own resources. You never know when these Web 2.0 companies are going to be bought by the bigger players and then dismantled. Google totally spoiled Writely.
