Review of First Year of Blogging
Jan 02, 2007
It’s not mine…ContentBlog was just started in November end, 2006. This review is from Guy Kawasaki. I wonder why his blog generated so little revenue: 6,200 visits per day on an average and $3,350/- ad revenue generated. Or is it an OK earning? I mean, what about people who say they make 200-300 dollars per day? May be it depends on the subject and theme. For instance, I make it that blogs on gadgets and programming make more money. But an interesting post. I hope next year I too will be writing some interesting figures for my blog. Right now I’m not interested in tangible money from my blog (I’m sure Guy isn’t too). I want it to evolve as a repository of interesting thoughts and interactions. Yes, I’ll be happy if I get some plum content writing and blog writing assignments through it :-).

Wow Guy! Is it really you :-)? Great! Do you mean the money thing? I wrote this because I think if you really intended to make money off advertising on your blog you would have done that. I mean, that’s what I think. But then, if I’m correct, you recently hired Neil and his company to promote your blog, right? I don’t know, I could be wrong. Most people promote blogs at a professional level when they want to sell ads from them.
