Persevere and Be a Successful Blogger
Jan 29, 2007
Most of the bloggers fail in their blogging efforts because they don’t have the required patience. Blogging demands lots of sweat and blood initially and if you don’t have the stamina, you’ll probably end up with an abandoned blog. You continuously need to churn out great content. In a post titled How To Avoid Blogging Burnout I had written:
Blogging is a lonely activity, especially when you’ve just started. You don’t know other bloggers and they don’t know you. Day after day you post great posts (at least you think they are great) and your stationery traffic stats mock at you and your effort. In various forums you feel like a stranger. No other blog or website links to you, no one links to your posts. Sometimes you think as if the online world doesn’t give a damn whether you exist or not.
Darren at The Blog Republic rightly says that:
If you can overcome these early obstacles, you’ll likely be rewarded with many opportunities. But in the early days, it’s almost impossible to count on much traffic, interest, or revenue. So what, then, do new bloggers need to have? They have to have a strong faith in their abilities, and in the likelihood that they’ll eventually prevail. If they don’t have these thoughts, they’ll end up giving up long before they have success, because it takes time to build an audience from scratch.
Almost every successful blogger — with the exception of a few — has gone through the similar experience. Perseverance is the keywords, the key expression, if you really want to be a successful blogger.
