PayPerPost Didn’t Acquire The Performancing Part After All

by Amrit on 5th January 2007

Whatever happened, the PayPerPost and Performancing deal fell through according a TechCrunch post after the guys at Performancing transfer to Scribefire, a new domain. They said on the PayPerPost company blog:

After much discussion and heartache we have decided to walk away from the Performancing deal. We listened to our Posties and other Metrics users, dug into the Metrics platform and regretfully found that it wasn’t what we were looking for right now.

Well, I wonder why they didn’t “dig” into the Metrics platform before going public with the deal. Michael Arrington at TechCrunch rightly says:

Performancing should have had a more nailed down acquisition agreement, so they aren’t entirely blameless.
