IBM Blogging Policy and Guidelines
Dec 09, 2006
It seems IBM is a company that takes blogging by its employees seriously. Here they have published their blogging policy and guidelines to help the employees stay clear of controversies and probably, law suits. The policy page rightly says that the purpose of a blog should be to contribute, and to learn. I totally agree with the learning thing. Although I’ve seriously started blogging just a month-and-a-half ago, and not much conversations happen here right now, I already know so many thing I didn’t know previously.
When you share your ideas on your blog, people respond — negatively, positively or neutrally — and you end up learning so much. Take for instance Brian’s post where he compares the old sales copy with the new sales copy he just wrote for Aaron Wall’s SEO E-book website. I’m sure he’ll take some of the suggestions of his blog readers seriously and take appropriate steps.
