Google Plays The Big Brother, Eventually
Dec 02, 2006
Om Malik on his Gigaom blog laments the closing down of TinyTube, a small cousin of YouTube because Google wants it to take down the videoclips belonging to YouTube. Om makes a valid point:
Wow, we have come a full circle, and the notice from YouTube, a company built entirely on copyright infringement, and other people’s content3, seems like pot calling the kettle black. This indeed is strange, because for a minute I thought it was user generated content, not YouTube’s content.
All the content on YouTube is user-generated.
