In a post aptly titled What exactly to write about: content ideas example the author makes use of a toothpick to list various things you can write about a toothpick. I can totally relate to him because I write SEO content for my clients and the kind of titles/ideas they send me a really amazing. There is this singles website for which I’ve written on more than 100 topics and just this Wednesday he sent me 192 more. My blogging clients too send some very innovative post headers for their blogs.

When I was just a writer and not an online copywriter I used to philosophize about how you can write pages after pages about a broken twig; you just need to relax and go with the flow. Once I wrote about an injured ant that kept walking around my work table and the article was published in the local newspaper.

You should definitely keep with yourself a content writing ideas file where you can store ideas as and when they hit you, and they do randomly hit you.

I write content practically all day still sometimes (OK, quite often) I cannot think what to write about. For more than a month I’ve been planning to distribute free online copywriting and content writing articles among websites looking for good but free content to promote my content writing and online copywriting service but when I sit down to think about ideas, they just migrate to another planet that revolves around a sun burning in a distant galaxy.

Getting ideas for content has always intrigued me in writing copy, as there isn’t anything definite in that after you create basic site pages. I guess this is what makes the copywriting process a matter of skill, not just a process of pounding the keyboard.
