When you work on big projects there is a high chance of missing out the finer details. I once lost a project because I didn’t follow the content guidelines sent to me by the client — I deserved to lose the project. And that wasn’t even a big project.

Although Jonathan writes here from the perspective of a web designer/developer, maintaining a project checklist helps in any kind of freelance work you do.
