Blogging-reviewing for money
Nov 15, 2006
Currently there are two companies paying the bloggers to write product and service reviews on their blogs: PayPerPost and ReviewMe. Recently there was a debate going on regarding the ethical validity of paying bloggers to publish reviews. I don’t think there is anything wrong in this concept because lots of affiliate marketers are already using their blogs to promote various programs. There are 100s of “courses” teaching you how to optimize your blog posts for AdSense. Media companies are being built around blog advertising revenues. So what’s wrong in getting paid to write reviews?
Yes, these reports might be biased, and some of them even be “tilted” but then hey, this happens in every sphere and it’s the readers who have to make a decision whether to believe the claim of a blogger or not. Buying decisions are not solely made after reading one or two blog posts.
It’s a good avenue for some bloggers to make money.
