Blog Using Your Mobile Phone
Jan 04, 2007
First I thought MDog was some rock star’s name, like Puff Daddy or Snoop Dogg, but it actually turned out to be a service that lets you post to your blog using your mobile phone. If you point your mobile device to mdog.com, it automatically configures your device so that websites look good on your tiny screen. The review on Yahoo! says:
Users can simply point their mobile browser to mdog.com, select “Blogs”, and enter the blog’s full internet address. Any mobile user can post, upload photos or read blogs on mdog.com, no matter what device, service provider or blog platform he or she uses. Through this portal, blogs on all major blog services (including Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad, Xanga, Blogs.com, AOL Blogs, and Livejournal) are perfectly formatted for any Web-enabled mobile device.
Do you really browse the Internet using your mobile phone, or for that matter any hand-held mobile device? I guess some people do otherwise why some companies would invest so much time and money into such things. Somehow I don’t see myself — at least in the near future — using my cell phone to access blogs unless it is a matter of life and death. What do you think?
